Turning Old Sports Stuff into Something Sustainable
Put old or unused sports equipment to work.
We’ve developed projects that promote environmental awareness while doing something useful with defunct or unused sports equipment.
Donate sports equipment
We donate sports equipment to schools and sports teams in Asia and Africa, as well as those in need right here in North America. Please contact us if you have goods to donate, or if you’d like to receive them.

Tennis ball reuse
It’s amazing how much better kids can learn if the room’s quiet! We’ve sent millions of tennis balls to schools, where they’re put on the bottom of chairs, tables and desks. The legs won’t squeal when they move across the floor.
The scheme’s especially popular in schools with hearing-impaired children, as hearing aids are sensitive to sudden loud noises. Teachers also adopt this activity as a demonstration project for environmental education.
Contact us if you’d like to receive balls for your school or other institution.

Recycl'art
How about turning broken sports equipment into something beautiful, like this inspired puppy by Japanese artist Koji Iijima. He made it from the Yomiuri Giants first baseman Kazuhiro Kiyohara’s shoes and gloves.
Recycl’art at schools is a fabulous way to involve kids in repurposing while having a blast! We’d love to show off your project, so send us photos and we’ll put them in our newsletter. The best ones will go on our home page.
