International 14 Pacific Rim Invitational
Former World Champion Kris Bundy sported an ecoflag on the bow of his boat along with all entrants of the International 14 Pacific Rim Invitaiton at Kaneohe Hawaii in April. Sailing enthusiasts from around the globe competed in the pristine waters off Coconut Island, a marine sanctuary. Team Captain Andy Bates said, "One of the event purposes was to involve junior sailors from around Hawaii in learning about stewardship of the plante." Bundy, who is from Seattle, WA, went on to win the Invitaitonal, gaining international attention for both himself and GSA's ecoflag campaign.
